About

Helen was born in Sheffield in 1961 and later moved to Manchester at the age of 9. She took a keen interest in photography at school where she studied to O'level, followed by a City & Guilds in Photography at Ashton technical College.
Helen then spent ten years working in the photography industry in Manchester, gaining a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience in the photographic trade. It was during this time that Helen photographed a number of weddings and portraits for family and friends and realised that this was where her heart lay. She worked alongside a number of local photographers as an assistant, watching and learning, and soon Helen began to undertake paid commissions of her own.
Helen met her husband in 1991 and moved to Malton, North Yorkshire in 1993. Shortly after the birth of her daughter in 1994 she launched Frost Photography and is now known throughout North Yorkshire for her professional yet personal approach and attention to detail. Helen's husband takes an active role in the business, assisting at weddings and on location providing a very useful second pair of hands and eyes!
After many years photographing weddings in Malton and the surrounding areas, Helen has no doubt it is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places to get married. From beaches to castles, York Minster to steam railways, North Yorkshire offers the best of locations and settings for photographs to treasure for a lifetime. Helen's wealth of local knowledge ensures that the magic of a wedding day will be captured beautifully.
In addition to weddings and functions, Helen also provides portraiture sittings, both in and out of the studio. Drawing upon her extensive knowledge of the area, portraits can be carried out on location providing a stunning backdrop to a family or group portrait.
Helen prides herself on attention to detail and service and photographs of the highest quality. Nothing is too much trouble and she is committed to providing a smooth, efficient and personally-tailored package to suit your needs.
