Mairi and Andrew – Haddo House

Haddo House in Aberdeenshire was the ideal setting for our first summers day wedding of 2012.

The wedding of Mairi and Andrew has been long awaited after they met through work in Inverness five years ago.  Haddo House was their chosen venue as it holds many childhood memories for Mairi and her family.  The happy couple now live in Edinburgh.

Mairi wore a stunning Benjamin Roberts gown with beautiful Pedro Garcia shoes – and her ‘borrowed’ pearl necklace that her sister wore at her wedding.

The Canadian Hall in the grounds of Haddo looked amazing – dressed with white covers and purple sashes to match the bridesmaids dresses.  The stage ready for the Graham Geddes Band and the dancing into the small hours!

Rachel and Graham’s Wedding

We were delighted and privileged to be wedding photographers for Rachel and Graham’s wedding on Saturday 25th February at Kings College Chapel and Norwood Hall.  Spring was in the air back at Rachel’s Mum and Dad’s house as we met with her after she had her hair and make-up by Ishoka.  We enjoyed photographing the beautiful shoes and preparations before moving onto what was surprisingly a rather windy Kings College Chapel.

Graham and the boys met with us after their pre-match meeting at the St Machar Bar, meanwhile usher David was wondering what happened to his buttonhole!  Rachel was indeed the blushing bride and looked incredibly stunning as she walked down the aisle to meet her husband-to-be.  After what was a lovely ceremony, the rather early April Showers started rather suddenly and the umbrellas kept the bridesmaids from misbehaving.

After some fog in the car, the love was in the air and the happy couple’s American friends were enjoying their ‘glamour posing’ as the sunshine appeared once again in full glory.

There may have been four seasons in one day, but it certainly was a beautiful one. Congratulations to Rachel and Graham and we wish them a fantastic honeymoon.  We hope you like the selection of photographs we have chosen from your special day.

On Saturday, we were at the home of golf, beautiful St Andrews in Fife. We arrived a little earlier than usual to recce the stunning location as this is the first opportunity we had to photograph St Salvator Chapel in the grounds of St Andrews University. The small town was buzzing with the excitement of the forthcoming Dunhill Golf Championships, and of course the big event that was happening that day, the wedding of Fiona and David.

St Andrews University Graduate Fiona and David’s love story started with a chance meeting at their workplace. However, nothing today was going to be left to chance! We met with Fiona and her bridesmaids at The Old Course Hotel and Spa, where we photographed her preparations and her glitzy Jimmy Choos and Suzanne Neville gown. Afterwards we crossed town and met the chaps at the pier. David and the boys looked great against the stunning backdrop of the medieval town. The blushing bride arrived at the church on time and even had a few moments to spare before she walked down the aisle to pose for a delighted group of Japanese tourists.

After the lovely ceremony, the bridal party and guests enjoyed a sunny champagne reception in the courtyard. Bridesmaid Hannah and Page boy Lucas deserve a special mention for being stars to photograph! The evening reception took place in rather grand setting of the universities Lower and Upper Halls. The happy couples first dance was Caledonia performed by the Jenni Gibb Band.

We really enjoyed Fiona and David’s special day, and hope they are having a great time on their mystery honeymoon – (well, a mystery for Fiona as she didn’t know where she was heading to as David was surprising her!). Congratulations to you both and many happy returns for the future.
